You’ve been running your business for a while now and things are good. But “good” is no longer enough for you - it’s time for better!
You’ve got clients you love working with
The work you do is fulfilling and satisfying
Revenue is coming in
and yet …
You feel overwhelmed most days - there’s so much that has to happen and your to-do list is endless.
You know you want to grow and scale, but that takes time you don’t have. You work much more IN your business instead of ON your business.
You have big goals, but you’re not sure how you’re going to achieve them. Instead, it feels like you’re working hard and standing still.
Because you’re working so much, there’s not much time to spend with your family and with yourself. Days off, vacations, guilt-free fun time don’t exist.
There’s loads of stress from juggling all the things and working long hours. And stress from feeling the only solution is to work even harder.

This doesn’t seem to be the life you set out to create when you started your business.
These problems often activate the gremlins in your head. These are the voices telling you that you’re not good enough, you don’t know what you’re doing, everyone else is doing it so much better and so on and so on . . .
This can lead to feeling tons of self-doubt. To fear that everyone else will think you’re a fraud.
Perhaps there’s some shame and self-judgement - how often have you told yourself “If I knew what I was doing, I’d be better at this”?
Maybe there’s some helplessness, like “I just can’t figure out how to make things better.”
You know what’s often at the root of all this? Not having solid boundaries.
- If you say Yes to too many things
- If you frequently get frustrated (with your clients, with your team, with yourself)
- If you wish your bank balance was higher
- If you don’t feel like you thought you would as a business owner
- If you keep listening to the negative messaging your brain keeps creating
- If your life just doesn’t resemble what you thought it would
Then you need better boundaries.
Boundaries aren’t limiting - they’re absolutely freeing! They help create the structure you want to operate from, and allow you to play full out inside that structure.
Boundaries I love and encourage include:
- Knowing what your personal definition of success is instead of trying to copy someone else’s
- Charging what you’re worth so you make the income you totally deserve
- Creating strong standards for how you run your business with reliable, repeatable processes and procedures
- An authentic, easy way to manage client expectations so the work you do together has an even bigger impact
- Cultivating a success mindset and leaving behind the limiting beliefs
- Accountability that helps you stay true to your vision for yourself and your business
It’s time to elevate you as the boss you are so you can next-level the business you love and have a bigger impact in the world.

Wouldn’t you love to feel completely confident in yourself and your business?

How freeing would it be to operate from a place of clarity and control, knowing that you’ve got a solid plan instead of getting distracted by bright shiny objects?

Wouldn’t it be a relief to stop comparing yourself to everyone else because you know you’re doing what’s right for you and your business?

How would you like to expand your business and take on new clients without overwhelm?

How great would it be to have a bigger impact on your clients’ lives, knowing that you’re creating positive change?
If you’re ready to be Better Than Ever, we need to talk! Because what got you here, won’t get you there.
READY TO BE BETTER THAN EVER?
When you make your business Better Than Ever, it’s not just about getting more clients and making more money.
It’s having more ease. More space around you to live your life while you run your business.
It’s showing up fully as yourself, aligning what you do with who you really are.
It’s crafting the life you know you’re meant to live and running the business that helps make that happen.

Meet Lisa

Hello Rockstar! I’m Lisa - a coach and champion for small business owners & entrepreneurs. My own entrepreneurial journey started back in 2003 when I left my corporate job (in technical project management), went back to school and started my first business (as a personal chef & nutritionist). Thirteen years later, I made another big change, got trained as a coach and here we are.
I’m a grateful cancer survivor, wildly enthusiastic traveler, very lucky wife and committed coffee drinker. I also co-own a networking organization dedicated to supporting women business owners.
As a child, I never had a specific answer to “What do you want to be when you grow up?” But I have vivid memories of meeting the owners of a B&B and seeing for the first time that it’s possible to create the job you want and really love what you do. That’s my driving focus.
My super powers include:
- seeing all the possibility that others don’t yet see for themselves
- reframing negative situations to find the gift within
- creating change and helping others do the same
- being able to see both the big picture and the finer details
I’m a problem solver at heart and for years, that’s how I’ve helped my clients. It took a pandemic (and a whole lot of introspection) to make me see that my purpose is actually to help elevate others so they show up bigger for themselves and their businesses.
So they become better than ever.

Better Than Ever Blueprint
After spending years working with clients and running my own businesses, I mapped out the Better Than Ever Blueprint.
This will work for YOU, right now, right where you are.

VISION
When I realized I was miserable in my corporate job, I decided there was much more to life than a big paycheck and a nice office. And that it’s okay to want something different, no matter what everyone else says.
Instead of crafting my vision, I plotted my escape plan. I’ve since learned it’s far easier to know what you’re working toward as opposed to what you’re leaving behind.
As your business grows, your vision grows & evolves. You do too. In order to be successful you must be deeply connected with:
- the impact you want to have
- the work you want to do
- the people you want to work with
- the life you want to live
You also want to identify which gaps need filling and where you can become better & stronger so that your vision comes true.
STRATEGY
Strategy is about shaping the future. - Max Mckeown
I’d be lying if I said I had a strategy all mapped out when I first went into business for myself. I ignored my business mentors’ pleas to create a full business plan because I believed my mantra of “I want to like my day” was enough. While it’s still my driving force (and would make a pretty awesome tattoo), I now embrace strategic thinking as a way to make sure what I’m doing actually aligns with what I want my business to be and how I want to be as the business owner.
Strategy is a fancy word for all of the decisions, compromises, prioritization and choices you have to make in order for your vision to come true:

- What do you offer, and for what price?
- Who are your clients and who don’t you work with?
- Who’s on your team? What additional support do you need?
- What inner work do you have to do in order to have the impact you want?
- What boundaries do you have to set up or strengthen?
- How do you prioritize everything so the right things get done?
Answering all of these questions helps you craft your strategy.
PLANNING
A plan is your roadmap to success. Until you have a solid plan, you’re just moving, with no idea if you’re heading in the right direction.
When I decided to close my first business after 13 years, I realized I could take what I loved about that and translate it into my coaching practice. I can always choose to change, bringing with me what I love and leaving behind what I don’t.
A great plan is:
- all of the action you have to take in order to get to where you want to go
- knowing what you’ll do when things go sideways and the roadblocks pop up
- understanding how you can keep your pathway clear so you keep moving
Get your plan right, and success is as easy as taking one step at a time.
NOT SURE WHAT YOUR PLAN LOOKS LIKE?
IMPLEMENTATION
This is where the rubber meets the road. It’s taking consistent right action, daily.
- It’s getting up every day, excited to show up and serve
- It’s making mistakes and learning from them. It’s forgiving yourself when you don’t get it 100% right
- It’s moving forward every day, no matter what
Do I get it right every time? Not even close. But every challenge is feedback that teaches me what I actually need to do and how I need to be in order to run a business that fuels my best life.
CELEBRATION
Be honest: are you more likely to remember positive feedback or criticism of something you did? We humans are far more likely to ruminate on the negative. On what we didn’t do or didn’t do well instead of celebrating something.
When you celebrate regularly, you:
- recognize all of the wins, big & small
- create powerful energy to help you create even more
- keep moving forward with joy & excitement
Even small celebrations can have a big impact. You should see my “I just made money” happy dance!

WANT MORE TO CELEBRATE?

MINDSET
Mindset is your constant companion. Success happens when you cultivate the right one. You have to believe something, so why not believe you’re a rockstar?
When you step into your growth mindset, you:
- use language that supports instead of criticizes
- develop habits that help you build strong mindset muscles
- learn to stay positive no matter how hard things might feel
Many years ago, I had no new clients and none on the horizon. I was distraught and ready to pack it all in. My darling husband came home one day with a little figurine that spells out BELIEVE. He reminded me that if I believe in myself, I can do anything. That was the kick in the pants I needed to pull myself out of the rut. I didn’t do anything else differently, I simply decided to believe I could do it.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountability is a magic wand. It’s the secret sauce that helps you achieve whatever you want. It practically guarantees you’ll hit your mark.
- It’s your commitment to your vision
- It’s a promise you make to yourself that you’re going to focus on something important to you
- It’s laying out your path and deciding that you’ll see it through to the end
Years ago when I worked five days a week and went to school the other two, I thought I wouldn’t make it to the finish line. But I promised myself that I would create big change in order to be happy. It wasn’t easy at all - in fact, my husband can share stories of spectacular meltdowns when the stress got to be too much. But in the end I changed my reality because I was willing to commit fully to my vision.
