This is what success looks like

When I’m slogging toward a goal, doing the tedious work that great goals often require, I find myself saying: This is what success looks like.
For every important effort that gets you to a payoff that’s meaningful, you’ll have to do things that you don’t love to get to something that you do.
That’s what success looks like.
Before we bask in the super-shiny glory of crossing the finish line, there’s a lot of work we have to do first, work that may be challenging, strenuous, boring or icky.
Doing that work is what success looks like.
In my house, we often say this in a different way “This is what rockstars do.” This is especially useful when the alarm is going off at 5AM, again, so we can go to the gym or hit the treadmill.
