What can you invent out of this?

Every December I have my tarot cards read for the coming year. It makes me really think about what could lie ahead for me and how I want to approach things.

Today I picked up my notes from my last reading to see what June’s card is. No big surprise – it’s the Wheel of Fortune. This card is all about change, and lots of it. It’s about differentiating what’s within my control from what isn’t. And boy, is there a lot of out my control right now. Do you feel the same?

The truth is, there’s so much we can control, even as we hang on for dear life on our wildly spinning world. While we can’t control what happens to us, we can choose how we respond. 

I was reminded of this today when speaking with my business partner Belinda. She asked “What can we invent out of this?” I love that so much. It’s a question that makes us look for the possible in an otherwise ridiculous time.

What can you invent out of what you’re going through? What can you take with you as you move forward? What opportunities are there for you to step up as a leader? How can you and your business help others as we slowly make our way toward the light at the end of the tunnel. It may be just a pinprick of illumination now, but it’s there waiting for us. How do you want to be as you emerge from this tunnel?

It’s a true opportunity to create change because so much is already changing around us. What do you want to invent?
