ASAP: a new definition
Aug 12, 2025
Hey busy person! I know you’re doing a bazillion things right now and you don’t have a lot of time. If you’re anything like me, that’s probably not stopping you from adding just one more thing to your list of must-get-dones. And it all wants to get done ASAP.
That works until it doesn’t. Right?
I find myself in my “it’s not working any more” era. I am bashing into limits I didn’t realize I had as I try to run my business / pack my house in CT / settle myself into CO / meet new people / drink enough water / exercise / enroll others into my Camino and Machu Picchu journeys / stay in touch with my family / water the plants / breathe.
Everything wants to be accomplished ASAP. My well-being is revolting at all this nonsense.
So I’m redefining ASAP.
From now on, these are the only versions of ASAP I will be accepting. Until I think up new ones, like As Sagaciously Salubriously Silly
What other “S” words can you think of that make ASAP a more gentle and supportive phrase?
