Back from the Camino
Oct 20, 2025
For the past few weeks, I traded typing for trekking as I completed my third Camino de Santiago and my second guiding a group. Together we walked miles and miles (and miles), connected with one another and ourselves and laughed like crazy.
One of the most unforgettable moments came when we walked into the plaza in front of the Santiago Cathedral. After walking for nine days straight, we finally crossed the finish line. And that's when the realization set in - WE DID IT!
Our near-constant laughter was replaced with tears.
That moment reminded me: the Camino isn’t just a walk across Spain. It’s a mirror. Every step reflects back the truths we sometimes forget: that we’re stronger than we think, that we’re not meant to walk alone, and that laughter really does lighten the load.
Even though my pack is (pretty much) unpacked, I can still feel the Camino working on me - I'm breathing more deeply, asking myself new questions and remembering that life, like the path, is best traveled step by step.
Here's a link to a short video that shows some of our highlights.
Stay tuned for more to come!
