Let's not be like Italian Matthew Broderick

Feb 06, 2026

There’s a sweet little trattoria in Italy that I’ve eaten at several times, including a couple of years ago. That particular time, we saw the owner standing outside as we walked toward the restaurant. As we got closer, he gave us the warmest “How ARE you?” greeting, like we had just been there the week before and he was happy to see us again.

My husband is convinced he remembers me. I am not - I think he’s just really good at making people feel welcome and want to eat in his restaurant. (This has nothing to do with anything, but he’s a dead-ringer for Matthew Broderick.)

What’s my point? It can be easy to feel like someone knows you (even if you’re one of many tourists in Italy).

I prefer to actually connect with people. People like YOU!

So let’s get to know each other a bit more.

A little about me:

  • I was born in Geneva, in upstate New York, near Canada. I’m clearly a cold-weather girl because now I live in Boulder, CO.
  • I met Keith Richards, just like I planned. We both had a blast.
  • I really like walking & hiking. I mean, really really like it. I’ve walked 550 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. I’ve summited Mount Kilimanjaro and hiked other places like the Grand Canyon and Mount Washington.
  • My zig-zag career path includes working as a database manager, software support person, technical project manager, line cook, nutritionist and personal chef. Each of these roles taught me something that makes me a better coach. Especially the line cook role - nothing teaches you to bring calm to chaos like working in a professional kitchen with knives and flames and Italian waiters yelling at you.
  • I guide business owners and leaders on pilgrimages - physical and otherwise -  so they connect with their true possibility and create powerful change with clarity and confidence.
  • I firmly believe that getting out of your day-to-day life helps you create magic. It’s why I love to go on big adventures with them.
  • While I’ve had professional photoshoots with super-talented photographers (including a legit rock & roll photographer), my current favorite photo is a little silly and definitely me. Check it!
