The BIG question

Aug 21, 2026

As you read this, I’m getting ready for my fourth walk on the Camino. So delightful to be able to say that!

It’ll be the first time that Fred and I are walking for more than a few days together, and we have some plans for our time. Walking, of course, is the big activity. A few fun, splurgey rest days, plus some birthday celebration for him (it’s a milestone!)

We’re also going to walk with some questions we’re curious about.

The big question?

What do we want the next 10 years to look like?

Unlike the very first time I walked with some big questions to answer, we’re holding this question pretty lightly, not with a stranglehold of “we need to know the answer right now!” That never works well (as I have learned the very hard way).

Instead, we’re going to play with my W.A.L.K framework:

Wonder: open up to curiosity and be unattached to any specific answers

Ask: hold this question in our minds

Listen: pay attention to what comes up as we walk, moving our bodies toward the answers

Know: more than thinking of an answer, I find walking helps us *know* the answer in our bodies.

Knowing is when you’ve connected to your inner, undeniable truth. When you know it, you know it. Know what I mean? šŸ˜‰

Do you have any specific questions you’re playing with? Why not walk along with us (virtually, unless you fly over to Spain and then we’ll greet you with a big hug!) Try out my W.A.L.K framework to see how easy it can be to finally know your own answers.
