The Wisdom of Ted Lasso

I’m not embarrassed to admit I learn a lot from watching Ted Lasso. Not only is this a smart & funny show, it’s filled with absolute pearls of wisdom.

Take the season 3 episode where the team goes to Amsterdam. Ted pays a visit to the Van Gogh museum where a guide shares the sheer determination that Van Gogh had. 

And yes, he had his demons, but they never stopped him from searching for beauty. Because when you find beauty, you find inspiration. If, that is, you stay as determined as Vincent. Never stop, no matter how many failures. When you know you're doing what you're meant to do, you have to try. 

Whoa. When you know you're doing what you're meant to do, you have to try. 

I love so much about this. The affirmation that we have the power to know when we’re doing what’s truly right for us. And the low-pressure statement of “you have to try”. 

That’s all, just try. Not knock it out of the park every time. Not make a million dollars every day. Simply, try. 

I’m playing with this right now as I create my programs for 2026. I know in my very soul that I love connecting bold women with the power of adventure and this includes trips to some cool places. What’s becoming clear is that creating bold programs requires taking bold action. I’m willing to try.
