How to get what you want (part 2)
Jul 11, 2019
Did you catch my last post on manifesting? If so, you could be forgiven for thinking that success comes by just wishing for it. If only that were true - you & I could be on a beach right now, basking in the sun and keeping an eye out for the cocktail server.
I got SO excited to talk about manifesting that I kind of glossed over the "you have to work hard" part of the equation. So here it is:
You have to work hard. Anything worth having is worth going at full-steam. As my favorite former pro-wrestler/actor/all-around heartthrob Dwayne Johnson says: When you walk up to opportunity's door, don't knock. Kick that b*tch in and introduce yourself."
Here's the trick: this isn't actually the first thing you should be doing. That may sound obvious, but I've seen plenty of people who jump out of bed and get their noses to the grindstone right away, without exactly knowing what they're working toward. Which means at the end of the day, they've put in a great effort, but probably not in the right direction.
Success comes to those who first get really really (really) clear on what they want, perform the magic/science of recruiting our universal source of abundance and THEN work their tails off. In my last post, I talked about how I crafted a clear, specific goal and tossed it out to the universe. What I also did was work so freakin' hard to do the best job I possibly could. As I repeated my goal mantra, I made delivering quality my #1 priority. By the time I was done, I exceeded my goals.
Can you be successful by doing only part of the equation? Possibly. Will you consistently have awesome results? Nope.
